CONTRACTS MANAGER - SCAFFOLDING PROFESSIONAL Salary: £60,000 + Car Allowance + Excell

Contact Jamie Pearson. I wonder if he's related to James?

Don't know why they just didn't call me.

haha, fat lazy Bas.

I am seriously considering going into management , I have been a foreman scaffolder on various sites, both working and walking.
London I am afraid is way out too far though, as I would have to move.

If you like a peaceful live with no stress forget getting into management and stop as you are

I understand what you mean, but I am somewhat 'worn at the edges' in terms of being on the tools for the next ten years, so I am just keeping my options open. :D:D:D

Before I went into the office, managers always used to say to me 'you're better off on the tools'

...Which I always found rather ironic!

Good luck.

Well i wish you the best of luck then, but in 5 years time when you cant sleep at night because of all the stress and worry think about what i said LOL

I think it's one of they ones where the grass is always greener but the truth is it's tough which ever side you are on. I feel slightly fortunate in when the stress gets a bit much the guns get loaded and I try and concentrate on the erecting until my arms are ready to fall off and my spine is hanging out, then it's straight back to the office to price a couple of jobs.;)

Im either fortunate or unfortunate depending which way you look at things, way to old now to be on the spanners so stress all the time about the day to day workings of a scaffolding company,

where is the next job coming from
when are we going to get paid next for works carried out
why are we losing work we secured last year
what prices are the competition going in at
do we need more/less men
have we got enough materials/transport to fulfil our works load

Why the fu ck didnt i stop in my first job as an apprentice weaving overlooker
no fuck1ng worry there as long as the loom works

I had a similar job GM when I left school for Jaegar, they shut the factory shortly after I left, you can draw your own conclusions.:noworry:
