Hello All,

Currently looking for Scaffolders for 2 jobs (North Wales & North West based).

Must have relevant confined space training and valid CISRS ticket.

Rate of pay £14.50 - £16.50 ph.

shocked at this.....scaffolders have do there own CST.....wow shorly its the employers responsiblity to do this......
 
Ive got a confined space ticket ( in date) and id want atleast £20ph to work in confined spaces
 
I thought confined space was one of the few that didn't need a date?
 
relevant too what type of confined space ?, Boiler, Colver, vessel, WHAT---anything lower than 1.2 m from ground level is a confined space

surely confined space entry should be part of the induction for the Task and in house Training Program ?
 
How do you mean, full ticket. Don't tell me there is a mickey mouse ticket for that as well. We did it last year and was told you don't need a refresher unless there is a change in regulation or if you haven't been in a confined space for a while.
 
Aom my old man is a tunnel eng and his company put me and my mate through the course for a job starting soon and that is what is on the card. it not like the shiit we do for tanks etc we had to find our way around pipe work and cages in the dark and rescue a man etc.
It was a good course i thought.
 
Got you, I thought it was just vessel entry. phew
 
Not my thing at all. I don't mind the usual vessel and tanks but take a lot more than a few quid an hour before I would go down a mine especially a dangerous one to rescue someone. I could do the radio watch though.:cool:
 
Never heard the full story about the Welsh miners as she wouldn't stop yaking about something but lets hope they get out all safe.
 
They train ya never to rescue a passed out friend. Say to leave him and get yaself out lol. The cards do expire, not sure how long mine lasts but lads were on a refreshet when I went for my course.

I'm almost sure you only need a refresher if there has been regulation change or only intermittent vessel entry experience, and they are right about leaving your pal behind, 2 fish farmers lost their life because of it round here.

No reply to your query the post was vague. But He probably has some lads now.
With regards to refreshers on CFT personally I think its one of the good ideas because not everyone deals with them on a daily basis, unlike renewing your scaff-cards, safety passports etc every 5 years just to give them some more of our hard earned cash.
