that picture is out of a citb training module isnt it, its not a tie its for a fly out where the scaffold usually flies out thru window or hole in wall then spurred up off these. cantilever summit i had a skinful tho at darts tonight so poss wrong but very rare lol:laugh:

i have used band and plate like this, usine excaulber bolts into concrete, there was a shim/ spacer that the blots went through that sat in the curved part of the B&P
done a small platform off a concrete balcony with them and used them as a hoist tower tie too
