Hi,as I said please call Tony Mileham and discuss it with him,it does not make sense in that FSS are being paid a fee by us,it may well be that we need to review this and for us to employ you Direct would be our preference and would also provide you with more employment security as well as being considered for further training if appropriate,regards TRAD.

Good post Trad Recruitment. Possibility the poster who said "Mans a c**t" possibly could have been referring to the original poster. Only he can say.

However its generally thought that Lincoln said "You can fool all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time."

You also made a comment about the industry norm output. There is a thread about this on the main forum. Maybe you would care to comment?

Forgot to say that in my time in management I haven't been called a rude name. People seem to think I am an all round good egg!!

If you employ him directly instead of fss who currently supply him to you ...do you have to pay them off in a form of a finders fee?

Hi,yes probably dependant upon the Agencies own specific terms and conditions but he does not appear to have been supplied to us by FSS yet,hopefully he will contact us direct again as requested, regards TRAD.

Hi,yes you are quite right that is what Lincoln did say but a popular use of the saying is as I quoted apart from the Scaffolders inclusion of course,with regard to the industry norm thread for us to contribute appropriately with specifics we are in danger of putting ourselves at a Commercial disadvantage and the Forum by its very nature offers anonymity to its Members some of whom may either work for or are the Principals of our Competitors and although I cannot speak on behalf of other Companies I suspect they may take the same view.

Quite a number of the responses you have had we would agree with particularly in relation to you are only as good as the men you employ and sometimes they may just have had a bad day through no fault of there own and should not be penalised docked or knocked which must be the most overused and misrepresented word in the Scaffolding vocabulary.

Outputs can vary greatly from job to job and from day to day and in many instances deviate significantly from that which was originally envisaged at tender stage and therefore anything that we would post would be of little value in any event in our opinion.

Our intention is to post honestly,be helpful and not critical and where we can without compromising ourselves commercially share best practise and advice with other Forum members,regards TRAD

ok trad would this be the tony mileham who was MD at PHD & then moved onto DSL ? if it is then i'll '' apply some meat to the bones ''

Hi,there are always slight variations in each Company and we would find any information posted by a Competitor useful to our Estimators so in the spirit of fairness we would not want to find out such information on the Forum,regards TRAD.
