dont go for it if the firm asw, they stared me and another guy about the same time last year, promising loads of work, turned out they only wanted us to catch up with the work they were behind on. couldnt even get a ******* hard hat off them
Asw is not the firm to come to if you're not prepared to work , we have started many new scaffs over the years and the hardworking and reliable ones are still working , I'm not going to get drawn into a bitchy bitchy tit for tat , slanging match , but if were gonna get slated ,I'm gonna reply. As steveo says the good scaffs get work , the not good don't. We have 70 scaffolders on at present with at least 30 of them employed for more than 5 years and 20 for ten years , also people with a poor attitude towards the principle contractors
Are also short lived as these people jeopardize future work and damage the reputation we have with our clients.

Yawn!!!!! I have been through 6 scaffs this year already I do not understand how people can turn up late' want to leave early' do **** all during the day' spend most of there time on the phone " phone me back when I am working as I am on my dinner break".
This is not everybodys cup of tea admitally but I am sure you will find one that is. good luck who ever you are.
Oh and if you need a hard hat buy one!.

Completely understand about not wanting lazy men and to be honest everything I here from guys I know that have actually worked for asw is that it's a good firm but you are expected to garft this I think is fair enough nothing comes for free in this world. But surly if your on the cards ppe is ment to be supplied employer is it not?
Fair do's mate and of course I'd personally never turn up to on a first day without the correct equipment to start work but would however expect the new company to comply with empolyment law.
