Where are you located boomer? I always though it was nebosh as I have been told. Keep toying with the idea on health and safety but never really got round to it.

You could give simian risk a call as they do all courses and will give you good advice but they are located in Warrington mainly. Worth a phone call. Best of luck.

Iosh is a matter of days nebosh can be attained in a few different way,day release over period of months night school or I'm sure online my friend,nebosh is certainly better to have as the previous poster advised simian will have all the answers.good luck.

I done mine in 98 night School then exterior exam ( 3 Parts ) ( General Cert ) they have bolted on several Sector related NEBOSH Certs since then, so you have to pick your Sector…
It can be a big investment a lot of these Organisations can charge silly money…on the other hand if your between jobs at the moment you can get assistance in funding your study program…do it at your own pase and Im sure there are lots on here that would help out if required…go for it...

Oh forgot to mention…after you gain NEBOSH recognition ( Cert ) then you can apply to the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety for Associate Ship at the appropriate level…
International Institute of Risk and Safety Management is a useful Organisation for Safety Practitioners too...

I've done the iosh and the nebosh construction certificate, if your going to spend your own money go straight for the nebosh cc . Go to Wata in Huntingdon costs £1800 and takes three weeks.the exam is pretty daunting but it's worthwhile
