12 quid an hour "Dream on" they paid more in feekin 70s "Offshore as well"

What job do they have offshore is this company not a local street company ? Not saying they haven't but if they have work offshore then I would have made that the main point when looking for lads ????

They don't listen to me either Daffy

We better go sit in a quiet room together then, mind you the hourly rate better be good, or it's not worth getting out of bed for!
Anyway, I'm not looking in the job centre anymore, all I need to do is get the resident job informer to keep copying them into this forum.I'll never be out of a job, nobody wants them at these rates. I do, beats the dole everytime. Beats me why the statistics keep banging on about the North having the most people unemployed, looks like there's loads of jobs up there.
By the way, what's the hourly rate for staying in bed,am I missing something here or what?.

Daffy, you take what you think you're worth.

sometimes we have to take what is offered, there's no alternative.
we cannot take for granted what we had 5 yrs ago before the economy went tits up, we have to start being realistic. Companys cannot pay big wages anymore, they keep going bust, has anyone not noticed how many scaffolding companies have disappeared in the last couple of years, I know there are people on here who understand this and have explained it quite comprehensively in the past, but again, nobody listens.
We are getting into the tail end of the schools and college programmes set up by the government, and also the olympic work will dry up soon,I reckon it still has a long way to go before we all demand higher wage rates, so take what there is, there may be nothing else.

A couple of years ago i spoke to somebody from Eezescaffolding after putting a C.V. into them, they noticed i had worked for Salamis before, and told me that they often do work for Salamis and also hire or sell them Alustar system scaffold, I know Salamis have used this system before offshore, maybe the offshore work is for Salamis indirectly. Even so the offshore rate is currently 16.75 hour (OCA Agreement) which is way short of what there offering on here.

am sure ezee scaffolding is the only firm that is monthly pay cards in on the tools ! pfft its got bumped wirten all over it !!!!!! few of my pals have worked there and its **** all have been riped one way or another. there's a bloke called will riding who is supervisor for them , biggest chancer av ever come across ! and they mean offshore because they had a rig in invergordon £1000 a week 7 /10's but u had to wait till your 4th week till u got paid !!!!!!!!!!

and still we hear from no-one who has, or is currently working for them, its all what someone else has told you.Don't get me wrong, all you say maybe perfectly true,it also may not be, but I have never been one to take rumour for granted.Let's hear from some direct employees, or even the boss himself to explain if the rumours are true.If there's no one out there who can confirm this, we should possibly write to Mr allen and ask him if he pays monthly, and are they really a crap company.

hey guys mr michael allan here to answer all your questions about my company i love a good old debate about what is right and wrong well here is my side of the story and i hope we put some matters to bed here i have never bumped or ripped any one off we do pay monthly yes and the reason is because in this climate you cannot always rely on customers paying you on time so its better to pay the lads once a month then tell them i cant pay them cos no ones paid me on time as for this hourly rate thing i dont know where this comes from because we pay on the price and the prices are better than other companies are paying at the minute so as for the overtime being paid a month late well how can there be overtime on price ????? we look after our employees and as i can see there are none of them on here complaining about working for us we are always looking to better them and sending them on up to date training as for offshore we do work for semco maritime, salamis and teco maritime and we pay more than the going rate for offshore work £20 per hour to be precise i would also take time to think before we speak on matters that we all listen to without knowing the truth i think in the english law its called slander....... any other things you would like to know about Ezee Scaffolding feel free to ask as we have an open door policy at our firm i hope i have put some of your questions and thoughts to bed and as my mother used to say if they are talking about you son then you must be doing something right...

sorry me again aqnd the hourly rate is a mis print it was £15 per hour and the position has been filled now thanks

I personally would not work on a pay-monthly basis, as you are definitely leaving yourself open to getting knocked.
Not saying that your firm would Mick, but its a big risk for the working Scaffolder to take and there needs to be alot of trust to accept pay by the month.

I will say this:
Its nice for a boss to come here and give his side of the argument and give us another point to view things from.

Hopefully this will become a fair debate, instead of a slagging match. :)

i think you'll find your wrong there as they earned more than a 1000 pound a week and they got paid on time as they were told all of this before they went up there and they got all there digs and food paid for and travel as for Will Riding well i find him ok and he does a good job

i do as well but to answer your quote about monthly pay i would never work for no one i didnt trust and at least it tells you we are still going to be here at the end of the month we also make sure all our employees get proper holiday pay as well and give them gloves and boots and wagons to put there gear on.... you get where i am coming from we are not a fly by night company we are established and been trading for over 4 years i think people can trust us enough to say we are going to be here for a while yet i got bumped and knocked for years i always swore i wouldnt do it to any one once we started up and to date i have never bumped anyone FACT :)
