A long shot I know but if anyone could point me in the direction of some work in Liverpool or London it'd be much appreciated. I was laid off last week and have made loads of phone call looking for work but no joy so thought I'd give this a try.

Cheers mate, gave them a call yesterday but aside from a call at 4pm asking if my Part 1 gang mate wanted a days work labouring in Shrewsbury today not much else seems to be happening.
 
im in the same boat mate gettin too close to the turkey i thinks

Try nsg on ici chemical plant.im blacked off the ***** but you lads could try them 01244 833100 deeside office.
A few of my mates started there last week.good luck.
 
Cheers, will give them a try, do you need safety passport. Not that it matters too much at the minute, ill take anything, but whats the money and hours like?

You do need your scars card,cisrs etc.
I've heard there on pre outage work for vc3 for 10 weeks and then a big shutdown.its all blue book and the hours are on.

Thanks lads, I haven't got a safety passport so looks like that ones out. I've never needed one before but this year seems the only decent work and money is on the plants. Any more leads gratefully received.
 
No mate, was down south the week before Christmas but as it stands nothing seems to be happening. Do you know of anything up here?

I dont mate if i here of anything i will let you know, what about doing your off shore certs?
 
I have never had any trouble with mine up to now but I take your word for it pal
 
All access based in margate kent r recruiting...they hav work all ova london doubt they will pay u digs tho 01843 298033 good luck
