Ffs dave no wonder we cant get local guys when ur paying rates like these - you sure ur not after uni engineer grads instead of scaffs

Tbh if you look at scaffs rate as an average in our area & even nationaly then personally we pay that & when i take guys on its for long term, i can only surmise thattheyre having real trouble getting guys and will only use em at this rate for a short time, or as a big company can subserdise the labour cost off profits from another job.....but i honestly dont know of any other scaff in the area on such a high rate, so this in turn has an adverse action to the labour pool which cant be maintained.
 
I think you will find this is the rate at the mo. We have had **** years on **** rates while the agency's robbed us blind , now there struggling , and it looks like our rates are now where they should be .
 
Ive spoken to loads of guy m8 7 yes this is a terrific rate ...spot on dave for paying it .
but wot i'm saying is i cant see how that can be maintained without effecting both profit & the labour pool....perhaps thats a circa rate for cis price work - perhaps dave or kieron would be kind enough to comment

Think you're right, but if firms can use agencies with the charge and VAT added to a day rate, maybe time's are changing
 
This agency takes your details, asks for copy's of cards then doesn't get the contract.
