Hi mate

Was there ever any feedback from the 'Vietnam' job i advertised on the Forum, i forwarded the CV's as requested. Not one of the lads, as i know were informed in either capacity mate?

I am not blaming you mate, but i feel like a bit of a plum, for, requesting the lads info,forwarding it, and then left 'High and Dry' with the lads expectations at a high. Middleman scenario again my friend.:sick:

No, i'm sorry mate, i never heard anything back, other than the guy was going to put one of the guys CV's into the bid that he was submitting.

He apparently already had one lad lined up for one of the two jobs (assuming that they won the supply of labour contract), and needed another good CV to complete the bid package on the scaffolding side. I've not heard any more from him, so he may not have won the work anyway. If i can find out any more, i'll get back to you.

I have been meaning to get back to you anyway, to see if you had heard if any of the guys you put forward had heard any more, but i'm afraid that i just didn't get around to it. Your post here tells me that nothing much has happened.

I did hear from the Italian company that i posted a vacancy about on here though. They have called me a couple of times to ask questions about the CV's i forwarded to them and i hear that one of the guys is going to be or has been offered the job from April and another has been contacted as a back up if needed, so they don't all disappear into black hole, i'm only sorry that apparently the Vietnam one did.

I'm sorry mate, i don't know any details about the job, it's just an e-mail alert that i was sent by the agency dealing with this and other jobs in the region.

I would check out the website and contact the agency directly for any further info that you require.

Sadly, as with most agencies, you will be lucky to hear anything back from them unless they want you to fill the job - they're not called 'Body Shops' for nothing boyo !

my mate sent his c/v to the Vietnam job, he got call last week guy wants him there end of March, he still not there so who knows but may come of.
 
me and dickie done two tours chasing charlie in nam never again the food would make a billy goat puke still if you see any vendors with fizzy hair and bucked teeth say hello from doddy .
