Harsco Infrastructure Services has giving a requirement to Vital Resources for over 100 Scaffolders across all grades to start on TATA Steelworks in Scunthorpe.

Job Details

Client: Harsco Infrastructure Services Ltd.
Location: Tata Steelworks, Brigg Road, Scunthorpe, DN16 1XA.
Duration: Minimum of 4 weeks but could be up to 8 weeks.
Hours: You would get between 10-12 hours per day over 7 days per week.
Inductions: Induction on site would be between the 23rd until 25th July.
Start: Starts would be either the 26th July, 1st August and 4th August.
Requirements: Everyone will need a current CCNSG safety passport, a current CISRS card unless you’re a labourer a CSCS card will do and own basic personal protective equipment (PPE).

Rates

Advanced Scaffolders
First 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday = £15.10 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday and first 8 Hours Saturday = £19.18 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Saturday and All day Sunday and Bank Holidays = £24.92 Per Hour.

Part 2 Scaffolders
First 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday = £14.49 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday and first 8 Hours Saturday = £18.40 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Saturday and All day Sunday and Bank Holidays = £23.91 Per Hour.

Part 1 Scaffolders
First 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday = £13.79 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday and first 8 Hours Saturday = £17.51 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Saturday and All day Sunday and Bank Holidays = £22.75 Per Hour.

Scaffolder Labourers
First 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday = £10.00 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday and first 8 Hours Saturday = £12.70 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Saturday and All day Sunday and Bank Holidays = £16.50 Per Hour.

Harsco did the same at the Orb (Newport steelworks)
 
I will tell all you what.The game has gone to the dogs and its getting gradually worse each year.I have been scaffolding for near on 20 years and I cant believe the way things are going.All these agencies are killing our livelihood and making it really hard work just trying to earn a crust.Anytime we used to travel you would get your digs paid.Cann anyone from one of these parasite agencies please tell me why dig money is no longer paid.You also have to provide your own PPE even although you are PAYE.I know its all about cutting costs and saving money but the agency type system we are forced to work under is criminal,the government need to step in and regulate this pure and utter nonsense before it gets any worse.They are getting rich from working people and we are getting poorer by the minute.Surely something can be done lads.

Businesses making money out of employing people to work for them? Its the thin end of the wedge when this sort of thing happens. I only hope the government takes strong action and puts the businesses out of business.:mad:
