Job Vacancy

Lidl pay over £9.00 a hour but you need to speak German to read the labels on their products.

What a shower of sh***te you sound Mitchells scaffolding I'm working in Lancashire at the moment and your just another company jumping on the band wagon and paying lads terrible money and wanting impossible amounts of production were in Fu**cking England not china u pi** taking c*nts. If I was to work for you the only thing I would do for 8 hours is kick stones about the site and I can produce a scaffold for the right money.

So are you not interested in the job then mate?

I think there have been a few harsh comments on this thread about the jobs on offer. It's very easy to pass judgement but not so easy to steer a ship through stormy waters whereby we all have to cut our cloth. Yes, there are still blue book jobs on the go and still plenty scaffs willing to travel to fill these posts, but long term regular employment is worth something to some people and sometimes at the end of the year can work out more. Smaller firms have to price the work coming in but they also have to consider the average number of weeks they are sat in the yard servicing and painting. To criticise is easy, but to get out there and build anything is tough. £10 an hour might not suit all, but there are day's when I would snap your hand off for it.

I am now retired from the construction industry but am involved with mentoring small companies and have read all your comments about Mitchell's Scaffolding and apart from the one very sensible comment I am not surprised at how ignorant some of you are. Companies like Mitchell's are rare, I have taken the time to look them up and ask questions, they are switched on to making sure their staff are well trained, they are out there in these hard times pulling in contracts that will ensure continued work and never stop looking to improve, it's a small family run business that has seen run up against all the usually problems any small company has to contend with but people who really know them will tell you how hard they work, to be in business these days is not easy and to have regular work coming in is an achievement and yes it's not top pay but is there every week and the lads are well looked after and appreciated, if you have any doubts just ask them, how many of you making these comments have bothered, answer NONE.
