Interesting that the same agency was advertising the same job 3 days ago but for a lesser hourly rate and no digs money.
It just shows you how much more money these agencies have up their sleeves. They just hope to gather cheap labour initially. If they don't get it they up the rates. Imagine what a mug you would feel if you had started a couple of days ago and then all these others turn up on more money with digs paid.

Havespannerwilltravel - You are wrong as we don’t dictate the pay rate nor what guys get, this comes direct from the client and we put or very small margin on top of this. The only thing an agency negotiates at the beginning of the contract is our mark up and the client will tell us the pay rate and if lodge will be paid.
So on that note this is our client who has changed their mind and the end of the day, we can only offer a job and if you choose to take it great if not wait for a job that may be of interest.

Just spoke to them your loose an hour a day for breaks just thought I'll let u no

And they want a reseat for lodge..so no making extra on that :-(

So you are saying that you don't try and fill the positions at a cheap rate and thus make your profit margins greater?
Its actually very good business sense to minimise costs and maximise profits. I have had some dealings with agencies not only many years ago when I was on the tools but more recently when hiring labour. The majority always gave me their required rates which they would have based on the market rates.

I call client and come back to you; good question!

As I have already said Havespannerwilltravel the pay rates are dictated to us by the client and that is what we pay.

So Vital Resources if you had employed me 3 days ago at your advertised 14 pound a hour and no lodge would you now be upping my rate and paying the lodge because the client has decided to pay more?
