Genius agency trying it on

Has anybody else seen the job on government site today by Genius agency?
Posting a job for a part 2 in London for £14 an hour with wording to the effect of we know it's not the right rate but there are lots of guys out of work who have a need to earn something so we're going to exploit it. Out of order.

Here Is Me Thinking That Only Happened To Me, Got Phoned Up And Asked If I Could Go To A Site In Livingstone (About An Hour And A Half Drive) So Next Day I Go Down To Livingstone, And Start On The Site, At About Ten O Clock I Get A Phone Call From The Agency Telling Me That Was Me Finished, It Took Me Longer To Drive There Than I Worked On The Site, Needless To Say I Have Allways Refused Work From That Agency Ever Since. They Are Just Parasites.

Actually had similar myself only ever worked for 2 agencies first Octain and as professional, Octain no probs only there 2 days before I got proper start, second was last firm before this one , got scottish disclosure cleared started job after lunch I asked what was day rate "12.50 hr" I went mad as you could imagine so anyway got a phone call saying that was me on the second day told I wasnt pulling my weight that day...., funny thing was I weren't even in lol

I suppose it all depends what you are used to.Its well above the UK minimum wage.

As long as more and more scaffolders are churned out from the training schools into an already over subscribed industry wages will continue to fall.

£15 an hour is the minimum any part two should be working for in London or South east. Agency just being greedy and robbing another £1 an hour off someone desperate enough to be exploited
