Which one's barker and which is corner ha ha

Thats fine. Attempt to mock... my 11 year old Son is in to that too.
Remember one thing Fred: Im about to climb the ladder and your no spring chicken, eventually you'll be on your merry way back down.

Ill meet you in the middle, then we'll see what happens ;).

As regards to the comment, you ALREADY started to derail a perfectly good thread after the opening post... and your supposed to be a Moderator??
Better do your job properly pal.

I don't resort to juvenile name calling Jason.
I will watch your climb up the ladder with interest. In my opinion you will just reach the second lift. Now I am a good deal older than you so you are correct for once. However I am finishing next year at the top and taking early retirement so I will not be able to meet you on that lowly second lift.
I am planning to visit London next year so maybe we can meet at one of the "world's biggest and most prestigious projects" your CV says you have worked on. Such as the Isle of Grain LNG Plant--certainly not the worlds biggest. Or 20 Fenchurch St "next to the Shard" well pretty close just separated by the River Thames. Or how about Heathrow "the worlds largest airport" apart from a couple in Saudi Arabia and a few others!!
Unfortunately when you come on a public forum and post comments everyone leaves themselves open to ridicule and criticism. Just as in the real world away from the internet people receive ridicule and criticism for what they say and do. Cruel and hurtful sometimes mate but you just have to bite your lip and take it.
Look at the ridicule i took when I admitted on the forum that my 8 X 8 towers kept falling over and when I proudly announced to the forum that I was going over to Thailand to earn 4k a week. However when Thailand fell through i didnt ask for the thread to be removed or run away elsewhere.

And as for being a moderator that position was thrust upon me I never accepted the offer. However I have tried my best but certainly didn't realise that being a moderator automatically curbed my right to an opinion and free speech. I have never removed a thread or indeed asked my brother to remove it for me.You certainly will never reach the dizzy heights of being able to tell me what to do pal.

Anyway I do enjoy your videos and comments and I never realized that having a mind of my own and different opinions to you would upset you so much.
Keep going up that ladder.:worried::worried:

Does it rain a lot in london?????? Maybe roger nutkins is yer man for it??? Pmsl.

Keep going up that ladder.:worried::worried:

Firstly: I will decide how far i want to climb. Me... no one else. To be fair, unlike certain people, im still enjoying and able to Scaffold. And earn while i do it.
I dont need to quick route myself into the office. Ill make the decision to go down that path when i decide.

Secondly: Did i take the p.iss when you didnt get that Thailand job?? No... i was gutted for you. Again unlike some here im not jealous. I simply could not give 2-shiits who earns what, when and where... ive turned down several jobs abroad - not bad earners either. As long as im happy with what i earn, thats all that matters.
However... i do remember YOU having a sarcastic dig about Algeria a while back? Ill try to find that.

Thirdly: Im glad your retiring to your shack in Thailand. It affects me how??
I enjoy my job... and ive got another 30 years doing it, so i might as well make sure i f.ucking enjoy it, eh?
Good luck to you, i care not.

Forthly: The jobs ive been have been decent. Ive earned well and enjoyed myself. Ive also made ALOT of contacts, which always helps.
But ive also been on some stinkers, like every other Scaffolder out there. What i choose to put on my CV is of no concern of yours.

Lastly: You need to reread your posts... this all started because YOU as usual made a daft comment regarding tickets and i quite frankly (having to read your silly comnents over and over here) got sick of it and wanted to give you a kick up the arse.
I succeeded. And you sir, with EVERY smug comment are showing your true colours.

Go you!

Im done. No more need to embarrass the man further.
Im not that spiteful...

Give it a few weeks we'll be kissing and cuddling again. ;)

On topic. The job im on is only a few weeks contract, unless i can get on direct?
If you need another pair of hands Chris, ill work with you. :)

Apologies for the late reply but have been out enjoying some of Doha's exciting night life. A few hours ahead of the UK but many years behind when it comes to entertainment.
Thanks Jason, Kaizer79 and John Baylor I value your opinions.
Now Jason I will answer your points honestly and to the best of MY ability. Please don't get offended if my opinions are different from yours.

Firstly:I admire your determination. You need this in any attempt to climb the ladder.I still enjoy scaffolding and I am still able to do it. It is a skill once learned you never lose.I am pleased I have been able to experience so many different facets of what i still believe is the best job in the world.I am still lucky enough to be able to earn as well.
Unfortunately I didnt have friends or family to fast track myself into the office. I had to spend 24 years on the tools before I was offered the opportunity for advancement by someone who didn't much like my working class attitude but must have realized I had some potential.I learnt my trade the hard way from hard men long before political correctness had been invented.

Secondly:There was no job in Thailand. No job advert nothing just some throw away comment that had people begging for a non-existent job. If I remember correctly the whole banter started from the fact that people think there are jobs overseas for big money available for scaffolders. Its not true. The only place you will earn 4k a week cash is probably Iraq and that won't be on the tools.
Yes I have had more than one dig about Algeria. Thats because you gave it the big one crowing about, you refused to listen to advice from people who had been there thinking you knew better. You then requested the thread to be removed because you couldn't take the stick you were getting. This thread moving thing has become your trademark. You posted a thread and poll slagging off robmack and then pleaded with every moderator to have it removed.

Thirdly: My shack is in the Philippines. I posted the thread as I thought others in the construction industry may be interested in the construction process in other parts of the world. And indeed how scaffolding and access are provided there. Some members were interested others not. Such is life. Enjoy your next 30 years scaffolding I sincerely hope you get as much satisfaction out of the industry as I have.

Fourthly: Well done on the jobs you have been on. However if you are prepared to post your CV publicly as you believe it will further your career prospects you also have to accept that people will comment if your CV contains incorrect factual information.Because you choose to post it publicly on the internet it is open to public scrutiny and comment.

Lastly: I said you don't legally need a CISRS card to scaffold. The WAH regs state competent. This has been widely debated and some agree some disagree. I respect different opinions from my own but continue to stand my ground. I don't need to resort to name calling or spitting my dummy out because someone disagrees. I am prepared to continue the debate not pick my ball up and go off home stopping the other kids playing.

As I said elsewhere before you can kick someone up the arse you frst need to take your foot out of your mouth Sir. If my true colours are sticking up for the working man whether it be a Brit, aussie, kiwi an east european through to the humblest Asian scaffolder then i am proud of these colours. These colours dont run!!!

god i hate it when people spoil a good job advert with improper english..

Is it correct to write fourthly to start a 4th point or paragraph or referring to any piece of information at 4th place?

The suffix -ly indicates that the word is an adverb, which refines the meaning of a verb. Since there is no verb that can be associated with numbers in this sort of context, "firstly", "secondly" and so on cannot exist in good English.

What's wrong with First, Second, Third, Fourth etc?
