Morning folks,

Well, here it is. The first major recruitment project of 2013.

We wanted you all to be the first to know that Cape has successfully secured a £multi-million fabric maintenance projects on one of the North Sea’s highest profile assets. This work will start to mobilise as early as March, and last through until August with the possibility of extension beyond that.

To give you all an idea of how many of you we’ll be seeking to hire, we’ve got enough positions for as many as 104 Scaffolders, 72 Painter/Blasters, and possibly as many as 40 (primarily Paint / Blasting trades) Rope Access Operatives. This is the first in a number of large-scale projects that Cape will be executing in the Offshore sector as the industry looks to extend the lifespan of oil & gas production in the North Sea, and there are further opportunities of a similar nature following on immediately from this project.

We’ll be posting the vacancies on our website this afternoon, and in our vacancies app for you to apply to, but wanted to get a thread going on here for you guys to start open discussion.

Scaffolder

I am a part 2 with over 17 years experience in scaffolding and done the offshore training Sept last year and have been looking for offshore jobs since then, does anyone know how you can get that break offshore for a first trip as I am available and desparate to work offshore.

Going to Cape's website and applying might be a good place to start.
 
I have applied for all the basic posts on cape website also labouring ones but keep getting due to the high volume we can`t take you application any further.

I keep phoning Salamis, but no joy at the moment.
 
I know mate might do that if I dont get something soon not used to not working, worked with same company for over 17 years and got made redundant recently due to business closing.
 
Well I have applied for the offshore basic job offshore through cape fingers crossed.

Yes,and you must be at least forty year old and weigh above 18st,just whack that on my cv and that's me in,lol:p:D
 
The ability to talk complete bo!!ocks in the tea shack is a must , you will look stupid if the slightest bit of sence is spoken . And remember if there is a big fat scaff in about his fifties who thinks he`s the best scaff on the planet and thinks he is hillariuosly funny humour him cause he will be your gaffer on the next job . And by the way I am not this man .:D:D
 
John Everett throw on your cv you've worked on rigs in holland and Italy. A wee bit if creative tinkering goes a long way!!
