Dreadful In Dundee Woodsie, In Fact The Whole East Coast Of Scotland Is Really Quite Grim Right Now, Aberdeen Seems Steady But Not Exactly Chaotic, Its Bad All Over Mate.
I think it's not just scaffolding it's the whole construction sector. Don't see any new builds any more not like 10 years ago. I'm working everyday but mainly private houses and Scottish power contract.
Been scaffolding for twenty seven years, running my own company since 1998.
Never been as busy as I am now.
Prices aren't fantastic, but if you can find continuity, and have honest hard working lads with you, it is possible to pull through this bad spell were going though.
I will also take this opportunity to publicly thank all the lads that work for me (I know a few of them are on the forum) for all their hard work and long hours in the last few weeks. It is very much appreciated.
Nice to see an employer thanking his lads for working hard that's all it takes really just a little appreciation and it will make a happy work force. Nice to see also that you are busy at the present situation and hope you stay busy.
Chatting to a brickie the other day (no abuse please) who's paid fortnightly self employed, took home £750 for 11 days and thats in the south east, its not just us its everyone in construction!!
