does anyone here know any glasgow based companies that are looking for apprentices? I have been looking for a few months & found nothing :sad:I recently took a test for bconstructive.co.uk called Selection Learning Excercise (SLE) which will fund any company who take me on as an apprentice, would be very grateful for any help! didnt realise how hard it was to get into this trade it really does matter who you know!

yes he is a.s scaffolding a would say hes probly best bet for him as he likes to take boys on young and train them up his way

recently passed my PASMA 1 & have my working at heights tomorrow! what is the least u need to get started in scaffolding?

We are looking at taking 2 on at the moment but you will have to relocate to Bridlington. I would look at 4 weeks trial prior to commitment. You would be able to receive housing benefit due to the low wage.

try your best to get a start with a company but if you have no luck dont let that put you off , if you can afford it book your part 1

I am very interested but will need to know some more details like start date, wages etc.

good luck , but to be honest it is difficult, if u can get a start labouring , at that point you should look to book the part 1 , hopefully with grants you can get a firm who might even pay part 1 for you , paying for the courses yourself is not the advised way but if you can you could be part 2 in just over a year , i know others here would advise years of learning but if you can handle heights you'll be ok

If ABC gives you a decent wage and helps you sort out digs mate snap his hand off, work hard and never bite the hand that feeds you.The worlds a fuckin amazing place so the confidence you will gain from doing it all on your own will set you up for life, best of luck mate im sure things will go your way;)

Do abc scaffolding work all over the east coast? I'm in the same boat as the thread starter so difficult to get a foot in the door!
