Part 1 no experience!

when you get a utr number (2-13 weeks time) you can claim back for your part 1

those utr numbers can sometimes take weeks , then ure on emergency tax , not good ,
i'd just like to applaud wass1985 , never has a thread polarized opinion so much , and it seems to have kicked off a few other arguments here and there , uve racked up more posts in a couple of weeks than some do in a year , good luck with the job.

If you think he wants banning " maybe your in the wrong game, or wrong forum " ;)

I can't see he's done owt wrong, so fu.ck em Wass....

totally agree cala , wouldn't be in the spirit of the forum , maybe Paddy (the rule book) Carr may have a different take on things but as far a im aware being an irritating tw*t isn't a banning offense .

Wass can "have a pop" at fat old todger any time he wants and if it amuses other forum members even better :blink1:

I've been offered a start on monday through an agency. I'm still on the books at railtrack just wondering is there enough time between now and Monday to set myself up self employed? Never been self employed so don't have a clue

No you can't, you would get a percentage, nowhere near the 900 quid that he paid.

lol mint thread.

wass, just start, ring the tax office and tell them your declaring yourself as C.I.S self employed. Tell the agency you havnt got a U.T.R number yet and you will have to pay emergency tax. You will be paying 30% instead of 20% untill you get your U.T.R number. You will beable to claim it all back in april when you do your tax return. Good luck with the start.

Keep us all informed on how it goes :)

fast tracked part 1 too lol

u'll have to keep the forum updated with how it goes wass1985 , who knows maybe 4 years from now u'll still be here , only then u might be advanced by then , and u'll have about 50.000 posts at the rate ure goin

sharpie the only gay scaff from middlesbough would love you wass

This is turning into an all time classic thread.

It's getting a bit stale though - I think it just needs someone with a serious attitude problem to stick their nose in and upset things further....

Marvellous stuff.

I've been off for a hour or so so if someone has already started upsetting people sorry for butting in let's start this wooden spoon going midge podge Ian R nob heads

Yea I think so, just to be sure, send better tax a pm, or maybe someone else here will know. You will also have to pay your own natioanal insurance. Just get a form from the hmrc to set up a direct debit to pay it. I think you can print one off from their website too

Wass Your Utr No Stays With You For Life, Its A Unique Tax Reference Number, Good Luck With The Start Kid, Tell The Agency Though,Just Because You Have A Utr No Dosent Mean Every Job You Take Has To Be Self Employed , Theres Blokes Drift From One To The Other Regularly.

i had a go at him to start with but he went on the same coures as my labourer and he said he was a good lad and willing to learn thats the main thing for me

Might have been a bit harsh mate, but you gotta give the bloke a chance, one of my labourers did the course with him and said he was a good lad.... obviously you would'nt let him loose on a job, but under supervision he may be an ok scaff one day.....

You lads going to take him under your wing and give all us regular progress reports via this thread ?
