Hi lads,

An old mate has asked me to do the scaffolding on his new build house, I reckon it will take me 2 1/2 days to erect and 1 1/2 days to dismantle.

Fuel cost per day is roughly £10.

Will prob have to pay a labourer £70 a day.

Its already costing him £260 per week for the hire of the gear.

Some advice lads?
Cheers

What ever you feel you want to earn a day is what you should charge.. if he wants to pay in cold hard cash, then he gets a lower rate..

In essex you are looking at approx £18.00 a linear metre up and down

Must be a big house if the gear is costing 260 a week. Is it for tube or system.

He should have got an all in hire price not weekly hire

BM, you want your outlay plus your daily rate if its readies.

Lets round things up.....Say 3 Days Erect and 2 Days Dismantle: 5 Days @ say £130.00 Day?
So...£650.00 For Yourself £350.00 for your Man £50.00 Fuel Total £1050.00

I take it your old mate is outlaying for the gear? Best way tbh, if he runs over then you aint got the hassle of chasing him for extra hire.

Cheers
Paul
