I for one won't be renewing my sky contract in June. Dreambox is the future and it's free sky. Who's doing the set up for you Ian? I had a looooong read through and I reckon I've picked up the basics.

Have you had a look at the Protek boxes ? Paid £280 for mine ( 9700 HD ) and has lifetime " free gift patch " just need to keep it connected to interweb. Channel list is very impressive and loads of HD too , with a motorised dish these boxes are unbeatable ..... Saturday afternoon footy , tons of movies and all the pron you can eat:bigsmile:
 
My old man has had a motorised dish for easily 15 years +
Used to tape the porn off Swedish satellite for his pals at work.
I could never work the thing. 10 bloody remotes on table for all his gadgets, laser disc and all that jazz
Now he gets shitloads of free 3D movies and crap. He's an electronics engineer/electrician. Has always built his own computers. Remember him building a box so he could copy Disney films, that just duplicated the whole thing with the protection etc so you couldn't copy the copy ! lol

I'm going to attempt it myself, could be a long weekend :D
 
If you know of a local installer to set your dish up i would deffo recommend , i set my own motorised dish up and it took fookin` hours ..... wish i had paid someone to do it in the end.
