Hi I am not a scaffolder just a humble chippie, spoke to a buddy of mine who has just returned from Germany, and looks like Olympus Bau are still ripping blokes off, so beware !
 
billyboy505 welcome to our forum and thank you for your input. You may have stopped some other worker being ripped off by some of our less honest continental collegues.

just goes to show that e.u. laws aint worth a wnk!
they need hunting down and shooting.

If everyone who has been ripped off spreads the word and contacts the job sites where they first saw the advert and complains to them , then it might stop him ripping people off.

the other day he was dutch said they had a load of work in germany with free digs was the company called Interregional can you let us know cos he reckons he'll call back in a few days.

you've got to watch these dutch agencies they're proper **** houses I got caught a few years back
 
ive got a feeling this sounds like olympus bau , they've bumped a lot of people last year , all trades , i went to germany too , worked harder than i ever have , after 2 weeks they would tell people they have 1 more weeks work hoping the person would fly home at the end of the third week , and theyre promising your wages in bank the following week , out of the country out of their mind , i realised what they were doing and refused to leave the company they had me working for without payment , i got about £1200 from the companies petty cash but had to write off £600 , my m8 got stung for 3 weeks wages

it makes me really angry to know these ***** are still gettin away with it , the p**** even had the cheek to say he would spend our wages in the casino . when i clean up at cheltenham in march , im gonna pay a little visit to a small office in a little suburb in germany where some guy is gonna get **************************************************************************

i live and work in germany horseplay and the german authorities take this **** badly , get a time sheet signed and give it to the zoll , these people have some weight in theses issues as it is a tax matter also , they have a lot of power , we had 6 visit our site , all were armed lol

I agree with jb78, I definately think that's the same crowd using a different name. I would be wary, if he is the same agent Otterbein he comes across so professional on the phone until you call him looking for your wages.

The free digs and all sounds so good....too good to be true. Like jb78 I worked harder than I have for years and Otterbein the agent came out with the same story about work the following week, to get me back.
