the weight of alu beds on lorrys

hello chaps anyone have an idea on the weight of an alu drop side bed on a 7.5 tonner , i know the max axle weight and and need to deduct the bed, 3 men and diesel from the 34oo kg , thanks in advance

Just run it down o the public weigh bridge , then deduct that from the gross weight 7500KG or whatever it is , then you have the weight the lorry will carry as a load minus men of course

We stuck an alley bed on our truck but never bothered weighing it. We do have a formula though for working it out, when the mud flaps hit the deck get the bow saw out and cut them and you can get another couple of tonne on.
