Can anyone explain to me what the gyration is on a scaffold tube spec and the yield strength.

i believe the gyration is when the tube is tested but im not sure what the meaning is of gyration.

Gyration is the radius of gyration - Radius of gyration - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It is 15.7mm for a type 4 (4mm wall thickness) scaffold tube
The yield stress quoted on TG20:08 table 17 is 235 N/mm².
Most of the properties for scaffold tube are in this table.

Just to add some intelligence to this a C U N T is any non scaff whos been on a 2 day inspection course.....terminology does differ either side of the watford gap

so what would it mean it is stated on a test certificate with regards to its strength - they dont teach that on the inspection course
