ERECTION SPECIALIST

lets not split hairs over this PMSL---the fact is that SGB has used this Technique for Wind and Ledger Bracing since its conception.

Technical Guidance is what it says Guidance---if you want 100% Integrity, Reliability and Stability lets talk B.S. 1139 Torque Values...

Hairry Muff i don't doubt it, I just personally would never come off anything supported by a single coupler.
By a wind Brace you mean wing Brace?

Wind---Sway---Facade = same...

very old skool pre---HaSaWA---CITB...

Erection Specialist a D H ( Diagonal Hold) is an SGB fitting used as a single or as the name implies and as Gary has said its load bearing capacity is just below that of the SGB B+P. To come off the tranny for sway brace/facade brace, the tranny is hard up to the standard, theres no force applied to the single, the force is taken by the standard the same as if it were connected with a swivel, if you still had doubts you can always check the back of the standard with a double of the ledger.

No, not on price Phil.. I even fix ledger bracing each end and every other standard when using arms ;) in steelworks mate, and HSE lads are down inspecting all the time, has to be done that way..

used DHs on all braces up to few year back..........thats ALL braces erection specialist weather it be wind or ledger smashing fitting deadhead coupler.

they had a lot of different uses and we always used them on braces and the B/P on for transoms and ledgers , also used them to clamp on steel with we used to put a 30 mm nut and bolt in them to level them

Firm i worked for years ago had the odd SGB double which is nearly twice the size of a normal double they were huge!
The even had a few singles that went right round the transom, used to call them big bens not sure on proper name, same thing as a clip just griped the whole tube.
Back in the day when SGB were the main boys they must of had some proper gear!
Takes me back to the old mills doubles never see them anymore

the double you refer to is the bomb.... mk3 used in most drawing jobs ie shores, hangers, bridges etc heavy buggers arnt they?

nice fitting too the mills90 double to double still kicking about too.

Celticbhoy the mills fittings are great for double on double as you said and yes them old gb doubles were heavy as you like, infact i hate to think of the damage it could do dropped from height!

Don't seem to come accross as many fanny clips these days either, great fittings they were for ladders,
The sticky rusty Boultons are my hate glad i never use them anymore great fittings but if not kept in the right condition a ******* nightmare!

lol i like the stickies always have, the old kgb hands were very prolific in throwing the mk3 and always hitting their intended targets hence the name bomb..........i point blank refuse to put a single or cable tie anywhere near a ladder hope i never will either, you work in london then lad?

used some b+p today bolted into wall and punched off as nothing could touch roof.
great fittings i love em, cant beat them on beam work

What about the Mills 90 half inch, you knew when you were pulling them fcukers up.

13-15 years ago 1 in every bucket of fittings was a 1/2 inch so we used to carry a half inch Burton spanner especially for them.
Till the spanner become fucked as it was used more as a hammer and all the half inch fittings got put where they belong, in the nearest bush bin skip or river lol
