You may have walked off my job today I havent personally got a clue who you are, but it didnt start 2 weeks ago like you previously said. I NEVER offered you £14.50 as I didnt fill this job in the first place and the job is advertised at £14. I NEVER told you I was an ex scaffolder as of all trades scaffolding I probably know least about. and why on earth would i say to a temporary worker I dont even know I got sacked at my last job for any reason whatsoever? For the record my role at my last place was made redundant I have never been sacked from any workplace.

The trouble with threads like this, it is very hard to tell if the posters are who they say they are. Billyb4 and scaffstar could be genuine hard done by scaffs they could just as easily be a rival agency trying to run down their competitor as we have seen before (Remember RHL's little fiasco)
The man in the know may be genuine he may also be working for Spectrum.
How do you tell who is who on this forum?

I thought you had to be a registered member on the forum to post, as opposed to guests just browsing. How is it that this Spectrum company can come on and post as a quest and his particulars on the righthand side are N/A. As Swifty said, how can you tell who is who. All very mysterious.

All very mysterious right enough and they would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky scaffs. I can tell you one thing that is genuine, Spectrum definitely is not an ex scaff, never been sacked it's much the same as never been kissed.:D To the guy's who are posting under false pretences, you are just making a total tit of yourselves and showing yourself to be the tossers we already know you to be. To the genuine guys I would say, keep the faith work will come and don't pay too much heed to anything posted on the internet.

Billy, are you thinking I'm in it with the agency mob? Nothing could be further from the truth. All my genuine details are on this forum and I have met a few of the guy's through it. I just get fed up with erses clogging up a good system for helping the scaffs get work.

The tit remarks were aimed at the diddy agencies.

sorry mate, same here sick of agency bull sh it we all know how hard it is to find work at the moment so get fed up with agency buying work then offering it to us for next to nothing
just an idea how about getting this site changed so in the registration process you have to give your scaff number

Well that's not much help if you work outside the UK, don't have a CISRS card, work as an engineer or any other scaffolding related occupation or sub-industry that doesn't require that person to hold a CISRS card, mate.

Need I go on?
 
Sounds like a great idea to me Billy, I get fed up with the agency crap and I'm not looking for work. I think admin wants to keep some jobs advertised on here to bring in the numbers but to be honest I think it is becoming more hassle than it's worth as more and more of these agency ***** are showing themselves up. I said in an earlier thread they should make agency pay to advertise then maybe we would get the organ grinder instead of some wee spotty 25 year old who thinks he knows it all and never had to produce anything for a living.

Doesn't have to be scaff number but tighten up the process slightly as there is some on here with more than 1 account.
 
Why not use your card or your companies logo as your avatar.

Brandy, Spectrum was a member, but asked to be deleted. When a user has their account deleted, their posts show up a guest posts.

Hi mate

I have tried to get agencies to pay to advertise on many occasions, but they won't.
 
not all agency,s r sh t boys, worked for 2 agy last yr, good jobs, good rates and never got diddled for 1 cent

I agree with you, I also have worked for quite a few agencies without any problems but there are some right w ankers out there, the same as there are some right dodgy scaffs out there.
The thing with agency work is if you get sent to a refinery or a power station or any job for for a decent company you don't expect any problems, but if you get sent house bashing for a one man band or small outfit sometimes and I stress sometimes you are expected to work in an illegal and dangerous manner and some (not all) agencies don't give a f*ck as long as they get their cut.
 
my thing is that all scaffs should tell agencys to **** off and get back to the norm, be employed have rights and **** agencys once and for all.they all tell porkpies
 
if it wasnt for this forum i would never of realised how bad most of these agencies are . i have worked for agencies twice and both times got paid alright which is all that matters to me .after reading some of the threads recently about agencies i would have to be pretty desperate to work for one again.RHL are nothing short of a disgrace . if any one who is on this forum ever starts for them they deserve every thing they get
