spectrum recruitment manchester

i just got a text from spectrum recruitment Manchester saying a job starts in Liverpool tomorrow £14 ph for 1-2 weeks All good so far! but when i called them they want the names and contact numbers of 5 on site bosses this sounds strange to me never worked with an agency before is this normal???? or are they just using guys to get contacts??
 
told me now the job is gone

Yellow jelly and all system scaffolds should be in the north sea on the bottom of it.
 
I am afraid you are telling porkies. 2 references were asked for as to check you were actually an experienced scaffolder and suitable for the role we have, not 5. You wouldnt give us 1 which tells me you are either unreliable, or not very good

Far from it. We originally had 4 lads on this site. Got up to 8 on Wednesday and more on site this morning. Enjoy trying to find a job without giving references in. Only a "joke firm" would help you out there
 
yeah im the joke thats right lol and all the firms i work for are jokes your a no-mark agy who lie about rates and dont pay on time, one of the lads who walked off today was a mate of mine...
funny how your texting me at 745 begging me to start today never worked for an agency and seeing how you clowns are never will!
 
Would that be the text that said "CISRS Scaffolders needed in Toxteth, please call Spectrum on ...." The very same that was sent to 84 people at the same time. Dont kid yourself I was texting you personally. You were just down as a Scaffolder in Liverpool so you unfortunately recieved my text. Your number has now been deleted from our system so you wont have this problem again.

My rates are competitive. Time and a 3rd after 8 hours and time and a half weekends which in the current economical climate is fair.

Back to your original point however where you told this forum we asked for 5 site managers names and numbers are you willing to now state you were lying through your teeth and really we asked for 2? Didnt think so. But dont let the truth get in the way of a good old dose of bull$hit.
 
you asked me for 5 names as you were gathering leads you dont know the game your just chancing your hand you said you had never heard of salamis you know nothing about scaffolding thats why your lads walk off the job saying you pay £14ph then paying £9ph
as for the text 84 people must have wayne as a first name then like i said joke firm stay clear of this lot lads
 
Who am I paying £9 per hour? I wouldnt dare pay any tradesman £9 per hour. You pay peanuts you get monkeys. I supply monkeys I lose my job. I dont have time to chase dead leads as thats all chasing leads from references are. You would get a better strike rate going through a phone book. I will be the first to agree my specialist knowledge isnt in scaffolding. You find me someone who knows the ins and outs of what every tradesperson or civils worker does and I will show you a bull$hitter.

Everything you have accused us of is lies and I hope people here realise this. I have nothing to gain coming on here and arguing with you. We are a reputable agency who employed over 350 temporary workers at one point in the summer so must be doing something right.

Anyway I have made my point, good luck to anyone else looking for work on here.
 
i started for this spectrum 2 weeks ago working on Toxteth Liverpool i was told by rob foy at spectrum he was an ex scaffolder and now works in recruitment, said was tube and fitting when i got on site it was quick form then told me it was £14.50 per hour i was paid £9.50 i walked off the job today all i can say is the job was not as described nor was the pay i for one will not be working for Rob Foy and spectrum again
PS found out Rob was never a scaffolder but was sacked by search recruitment in Liverpool for pulling the same tricks
 
ffs is it never ending. Where is the benefit of offering one thing and delivering another. Can't get my head around that.

No you didnt, Spectrum only started on this site Tuesday 18th January.

I am an ex scaffolder eh? Well I couldnt have been a very good one considering I am 25 and worked in Recruitment since I was 18. I have stated in an earlier post I am not an expert on scaffolding nor do I claim to be. And why would another recruitment agency sack me for claiming to be a scaffolder when I would have been employed in a recruitment role? Your tripping yourself up everywhere.

It is illegal to advertise a job at one rate and pay another. We could be taken the cleaners if we were to do this and the company could be shut down.

I find it a little sad scaffstar has made more blatent lies up about me but then looked at his post count of 2, and he joined in January this year so think it is someone trying to get a rise. I have made my point about my company and will delete my account.
 
FFS rob you now saying i didnt walk off you job today? you said it was tube and fitting lie 1 you said it was £14.50 lie 2 you told me over the phone you were a ex scaffolder lie 3
