where exactly is this seminar being held and how much does it cost to go?
Would you like to enlighten us on the HSE information first please. We are hoping to have Justine at the seminar and i'm sure she could answer any questions on stepladders. We will discuss the scaffstep a totally different product than a stepladder.

Simian, have you had much feed back in regards near misses with the scaff step.
I have visited three firms in Cornwall who have had quite a few. A couple reportable!!
Most are in the wet & when dismounting, mostly used are the ladder type.
Stewart
Stewart, we have had nothing, albeit people may be buying them and not using them or not reporting. Simon is at the NASC Health and Safety Committee tomorrow so he may get some info. I'll come back to you.
I was talking to Pyeroys safety advisor and they are making their scaffs use a 500mm restraint lanyard to the front of their harness and attch it to the ledger so they cannot fall, however it does not cover going up and down.

we as a trade have slept walked into this situation mate going to take a lot of undoing, educating the non scaffolder thinkers is where we have to start they have too much say and too little know how.
