Good morning,

We are currently seeking a Scaffolding Supervisor for our client located in Terneuzen, the Netherlands. The position is available on a contract basis with an estimated duration until the end of July 2018 however there is a possibility of further extension.

The scaffold supervisor is responsible for the daily follow-up and management of all scaffolding activities for the construction group. Quality, "just in time" request and unsubscribe from scaffolding, check on safe building and checkout proposals. Has the general coordination on scaffolding for the various disciplines, such as Civil, E & I, General Mechanical and EH & S.

Tasks:
Safety:
- Security Ambassador.
- Regularly check that the scaffolds can be safely accessed and that the work can be done safely. Take action if necessary.
- Performing a thorough start work analysis at each license issue.

Maintaining contacts / consultation with:
- Unit Rate team for scaffolding. Provides input for improvement and or implemented the changes from the scaffold unit rate contract.
- Plant representatives (gatekeepers, manreps, etc ..)
- With the construction area team supervisors.

In carrying out the work:
- Includes scope with Contractor and Construction Supervisor for the work to be performed. Sends order confirmation to contractor.
- Make decisions about multiple and minor work by validating this with the scope.
- Administrative pre-processing of more and less work.
- Administration of outstanding construction scaffolding.
- Preparing, checking and issuing licenses.
- Resolve technical imperfections, if requested in consultation with the engineering department or scaffolding SMEs.
- Monitoring agreed schedule.
- Ensure efficient deployment of scaffolding (synergy with other activities).
- Ensure that the contractor receives the expected quality of the work to be delivered.

Responsibilities:
Safety:
- Leadership in making the safety expectations to the contractors.
- Stop work in case of doubt.
- Path Keeper in Publishing Work in the Field: SWA and BBP

In carrying out the work:
- Follow-up of all activities as described in the LS contracts including sections 1, 2 and 3 of the unit contracts and corresponding specifications.

Reporting to:
- Area Construction Managers for work-related,
- Discipline Coordinator (department related)
- Works closely with supervisors from other disciplines within the Construction Group
Other relevant contacts:
- Site and Area Teams
- Engineering departments,
- Production,
- Maintenance
- Contractor representative
- Suppliers of scaffolding materials
- Site SMEs scaffolding

Required training / experience:
- Higher education level 4 or equivalent diploma and VCA VOL.
- In possession of a scaffold inspector certificate
- In possession of Driving License B.
- Good command of Dutch, English (English is a pre)
- Minor 5 years experience in the Petro (Chemical) Industry.

Required technical competencies:
- Experience in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Thorough knowledge of the regulations for scaffolding and scaffolding
- Knowledge of scaffolding calculations
- Knowledge of application areas of scaffolding and available materials
- Basic knowledge of petrochemical installations and hazards.
