I don't know how we'll cope without them :(
 
I'm with Nick, Not a clue they were about.

Although i was never invited for a annual get-together/****-up so it's hardly a decent association.

Even the ICE have an annual knees up.

If you want to attract Engineers, there has to be booze.
 
If you are referring to the scaffold designers arm of the "scaffolding association" that tried to form last year... I think it died a death same as the SA did. If theres another one, then I didn't know about it either!!
 
Toyed with this myself at one point due to the arms length approach (until they want a TG written) of the NASC. Would set it up as a non-profit organisation and have a minimum entrance grade / exam to weed out the un-clean.

Anyone interested? We could exchange notes on who are good & bad payers for instance?
 
I'd be interested in that. The IEng and CEng grades with the institutions are great but not a certainty when it comes to temporary works.
