hahahahahahahha
should've known that would get a reaction ,
had a scaffolder paid him 140 a day and wanted to know why we were not happy with him taking 8 hrs erecting a 2nd lift on a 4m long loading bay ? although we would all like that amount of money for that amount of work it wont keep our clients happy and that's a very important factor in keeping work ,
another gang of 2 based out 40 ft , 4 bds wide , 29 inches between standards one end 32 inchs the other end , notched boards on the base lift pulled the standards out to make the boards fit on the 6th lift , had to strike and re-erect the whole lot ,is this good practice or do I just keep paying these people .
I don't feel that my ad was arrogant , the reply that stated if im self employed i'll turn up when I want, is arrogant , and this is the attitude that loses companies work ,and sadly this is the attitude that I come across from people on this forum.
I probably shouldn't expect anything , but if people call me saying they are the best scaffolder in the world all we want from them is to erect a job the way they were trained , and not have to spend more money and time putting it right ,
like I said theres work there , I personally have worked for this company for 8 years but then saying that I can put up a scaffold correctly and reasonably quickly , but then I was raised being told that if you take pride in what you do and work hard you will get on in life , not many scaffolders ive found on this forum have that attitude ,
I know there are good , hardworking scaffolders out there and I don't want to offend them , perhaps they are happy working for the companies they are with and perhaps the ones left looking for work on here are looking for work on here because they want to turn up when they want , I don't know .
