5 years work and you want to pay advanced lads £120 a day. You gotta be having a laugh. What kind of job is it?
Defo aint council work cos their contracts are done every 3yrs, if not every year.
And theres not one scaffold....

get the same ear ache everytime i advertise on here . if you dont like what you are reading thats fine but want to give some of the lads that are actually interested a chance. if not ill put it through an agency. im a scaffolder with my'A' card too. if you dont like it , its pretty simple DONT APPLY !

if you don't have any takers good luck with agencies if I was you I would be calling them now and if you can afford agencies why don't you put the rates up for scaffolders seems to me you just shot yourself in the bellocks for 5 years

Another keyboard warrior .............
Shot myself in the b***ocks??? How you figure that out mate??? Got plenty of people working for me on the same rates now so won't be too hard finding more. Like a have said time and time again. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T APPLY. I can't say it any clearer than that but some people on this site clearly don't understand that so god knows how you put scaffolds up.

Use your agencies pal. And i hope you get loads of duckers and divers that let you down, then perhaps you may stop robbing us scaffs and pay us good wages.
As mentioned before if you can afford agancies then you can up your rates.
Out of intrest---whats your daily hours?.

Yeah well if you don't like what you hear try the local rag or local job centre that's a good place to start if you don't like the earache

KEYBOARD WARRIORS AT IT AGAIN!!!!!

its funny really, over the years of me running my own business (and i have sucessfully for over 10 years) i have never been anywhere near going bust. but how many times have you been out of a job due to your attitude?
LIKE I SAID BEFORE DONT APPLY THEN . IS THAT TOO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?????

Look pk people are telling you their feelings on here nobody is disrespecting you and I for one would not like to see you go bust here is a clear view of the situation how could a man come down to Plymouth hold down digs feed himself and hold down his family home, now correct me if i,am wrong but isn't the cost of living a lot more expensive down there or is the south the new north for low wages your rates you are offering will not attract hard working men on a dedicated basis I know of companies that are paying part ones 90s plus overtime and part 2s 140s advanced 150s now all said and done a man could earn more through an agency I hope you understand the feelings of the men and all said and done wouldn't you prefer dedicated men rather than being milked by a middle man and like you said you would put the work through an agent so then this gives you scope to pay more if you have input to sell through a middle man why not up your rates and losing your rag on here will only add to your stress to running your business is it worth it I wish you luck in finding men I have said my piece and that's that

I aint no keyboard warrior, i just like to express my veiws. Lets put the boot on the other foot--as a scaff which i presume you are, would you be happy with working away from home for £120 a day?, as well as pay for all your own expenses.
£120 a day - £40 for digs - £15 for food - £25 tax and ins....your working for £40 a day = £200 per week on which you've gotta support yoyr family.
Can understand why theres so many people on the dole with money around like this. All the best with your search pal.

P.s.----i've never been out of work in 17yrs in doing the job.

SSC he may be looking for local labour and not travelling men. Personally I would offer price work and at least give scaffolders a chance of earning a decent wage. I suppose with the Romanians on their way over £120 a day will soon drop to £30 a day and a tin of corned beef though :)

Firms like yours that are pushing rates to a stupid low getting away with paying peanuts down there it will be ok to pay peanuts up here, rich getting rich and working man getting shafted as usual, I for one think there should be a limit to how low you go 90 quid for a basic scaff is a total **** take pal instead of getting you 6 bedroom 3 bathroom house built and a lambo in both your garages you should sort your rates
