I always thought that the idea of the card system is to prove the holder's competence.
As we all know it doesn't, you cannot compare an advanced scaff working on local housing sites to a time served (preferably well travelled) part 1, part 2 or ECITB that has a variety of experience in different aspects of scaffolding.
I have seen on my travels and locally, tossers with all the cards and the full backing of their management that makes you wonder who the f.uck gave these pr1cks the job.
Education and experience is the answer not something for getting the ice off your windscreen.
The education is on this forum and the experience is out there, you are never ever too old to learn and even the part 1's can teach you the odd snippet now and then.

I have had my advanced CISRS for quite a few years because luckily I was working for the right firm at the right time.
