Scaffold program

using kwikstage but in the process of outing it , got it cheap !!!
I can do the quotes and all of that its easy , you need to change all the prices ect to how you price and you can overwrite everything quiet simple , as i said previous bout 5 year ago we had strike and just couldnt get on with it - needed qualifiactions to use it

Well done on reaching 700th post scaffy. You might be right about getting out more or you could go back to the tried and tested method of just surfing the porn.:eek:
 
that gets boring after 10 years of surfing the net mate as you well know !!!

Came in to sort some invoices out and have sat on this and ebay all day !
 
Sick of surfing the porn already, so i am back on here;) I thought if and when you bought CADS a rep from 'Smart scaffolder', would come to your premises and give a Demo of the capabilities of the software:confused:
 
yeh we had some northern lad turn up , thing he said he developed it and that he was ex Deborahs (dsl siteserv whatever they are called) seem to know his onions tho

product interface is very good
 
They probably would Paddy if I asked them, they have done everything else I have asked of them. I live in the middle of no where and would not ask any rep to travel this distance unless they were up anyway. Don't get me wrong Paddy I'm not on slagging them or their product, I knew a couple of the guy's on here were using it with varying degrees of success and I was just trying to get a couple of tips. I like it, it's simple to use and looks a lot better than anything I could produce but there is one or two points that make it less than perfect. Is that not always the way.
 
allways the way - hopefully developed for scaffolders by scaffolders
 
Well time to go to the pub, meet the lads, draw a few designs on the pub table with a wet finger, or might get technical and use a Ladbrookes pen and beermat.:D

Hope you sorted out your design issues.

You are a bit too far away from me, but all the best with the different Estimating/ Design programmes.

Afraid I cant give you any advice as when I used CASE it did not need to get involved with the designs - pre TG20.

Starting to get somewhere now thanks, spoke to a couple of designers who may be able to help and I reckon cads will be enough to see off hse for the more basic stuff, thanks to all on here.
 
I know this is an old thread but I thought I would update you all none the less. I have finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase this system from Cads. I have been toying with it (no pun intended) for a while now and think it looks better and better every time I use it but I think the clincher was when I was awarded a simple enough job that I wasn't too fussed wither we won it or not so I put in an exorbitant price and included all the drawings and tg 20 checker stuff along with the estimate and we still got it, I reckon if it was a straight estimate they would have went else where. They have updated it a couple of times since I first got it and now looks even better. Sorry to go on but I think this will save a bit of time when trying to answer awkward questions from different bodies regarding what we are doing to ensure compliance with tg 20.
 
me too aom, im using smart scaff and im lovin it! money well spent if u ask me, i won a job cos i i was the only 1 who could show em a drawing- theyv got new upgrade called check it plus and give u calcs and can pass more scaffolds to tg20, saving me money on design costs and im still charrging it out to customers for the calcs and drawings haha, ive heard that they are adding more systems to it soon, cuplok is in there now i think for that well good 3d drawing software they do and theyv say that kwikstage is on its way, id look at buying at buying now if i were u before they put a cost on it for kwikstage support! give julie a call at smart scaffolder, shes really helpful and they can do an online demo of it or a rep can come to see ya- its not that expensive either when u think how much ya pay out to engineers over a year, i think that u can just buy the bits of software that u need and then add more bits over time to build it up, and i paid just 1300 for wot i started with.
