One of the older scaffs I work with was telling me about a two day event held in a park somewhere that was the real scaffolding Olympics, thought it was a wind up until he showed me the pics of him & his brother winning the fastest independent up & down. Does anyone remember these Olympics or maybe the athletes that took part in them, think it was the late 80's
I can remember hearing about it....a guy i worked wiv said he'd won an event where a teak of 4 had to get a guy on the top of a 21'- everybody did the same senario where 3 held it upright while a 4th shimmied up- but his team got the smallest guy to wrap himself onto the end of the tube & the other 3 physically lifted it upright- now thats something to see if its not a urban ledgend
