rude!!!!

i always make a point of replying to all work related emails and correspondence. Just out of politeness and to cover yourself.

i always acknowledge receipt of email but the phone calls are a different thing we get so many calls if the vacancy is still open i take details and explain that if i haven't called back in a set time usually a week then take it that they haven't been successful but i ask if its OK to keep a log their name skills and numbers and before advertising anything new I go through the list and contact the most appropriate which has proved successful
