exactly i was suppose to go to pembroke over xmas but couldnt get there for the weather.Mike Bidder who is running it said they would be work there after the new year but there wouldnt be no digs as there is people working as travelling men working for no digs.Is £13 an hour blue book rates.No far from it so we are now getting screwed there too.All this is down to traveling men with no back bone trying to look after themselves and being sneaky fooookers going behind other peoples backs.Just like in the minors strikes that these spineless people are nothing but SCABS
 
Yeah thats about right for blue book Double Arm, just add hourly bonuses on top etc and it will bump the hourly rate up. But no lodge is shocking, what about travel?

i rang 4 this job earlyer..
as soon as he said £13 no diggs i put the phone down..
they expect u to work 4 that when the guy next to u is taking £900 a wk home...

Those who work as locals , but are indeed Traveling Men are going to devalue our Terms and Conditions---do they not understand that we ALL have families to Feed, and by their nactions, the Bosses will take more and more and if they dont work for what the Bosses want to give---they will get in the guest Workers to graft for poverty wages---what the feck is going on, where is the UNIONS ?, sittin on thier a£ses :eek:---do we realy want an every Man for himself Culture???
 
It's heading that way Garry, that's why i've stopped chasing the blue book work. Rather work for less money but with job security behind it.
 
well the jobs have gone now as its not jobcentre plus anymore....Wonder who the next victims of no dig money or travel is....Shame on you

Your right, whats the use in working away when we got to keep our Base home AND pay for Lodge---once you average out the weekly wage it's just not worth the hassel---there is noway that things will change---let them knock their c"nts out for less money and pay their own digs as well as send money home to their Family---MADNESS...

i was on pembroke over xmas 4 interserve we all got travel and lodge paid and bluebook rates. i dont understand how its not bluebook rates as we were told its bluebook site only ????

What are the Unions doing about it that what I'd like to know---it's just a free for all...
 
I was suppose to be there too over xmas but the weather stopped me from getting there,and yes your right its a blue book site and the agency you worked for paid digs.However i phoned mike bidder up after the new near has he told me there might be work but there wont be dig money as there is travelling men from Middlesborough and Sunderland that are willing to work for no dig and travel money.
