Part 2 london/kingscross - Xmas Day

if you got a pts there are lots more out there who pay more than that make you right oldscaff, bangon
 
Lads their just doing their job someone might be glad of the graft!
im not an acy man never had been but work is work. The client rang them.Might be different for us £ wise if the contractor posted direct but they don't want the hassle.
 
true pups but when you know the going rate then you see whats offered,belive me theres a big diffrence mate best of luck to the takers though.as was said pts over the holiday period is sought after.

Well I would say it's the rate they have with the scaffold company! As I said earlier I have been on for RHL 8 months this year and I spoke to one of the contractors about how much they pay for me through the agency and it's nowhere near what people expect fair enough they make some money they are a service after all.
 
Gilpin 13 glad you had a good run of work with RHL, what ticket do you have m8 to work for them.

These figures are spot on....I know a guy working on KC, no pts and getting 800 for a 12! I'm sure they filled it with someone who hasn't done scaffs rights to decent hourly rates any good at all!

What if you arent from London and need to work this!? Celticbhoy is right minus your taxes, digs, travel and expenses off this and your left with fcuk all! I know a guy who lives up near me, who is working on KC and Xmas day and Boxing day wages will keep him in digs for a month or two!! :sick: :sick:

If people don't want to do it for that money.. simple don't do it.. don't see what mumping about it solves...
 
thats the law of the jungle if you need it you take it,i work on the fact if its WORTH it then i take it.dont see the point grafting for a vpoor days return,esp when you know the guys next to you are on double what your getting,but wee all of diffrent minds best of luck to any the lads who take it on.
 
Does anyone know if any firms are sponsoring a pts ? What ever you do take pride.

I don't hate R.H.L. at all.
I think there is a need for agencies, and until the famous incident involving a number of members of this forum I thought they were one of the better ones.
What I don't like is that tosser Nik and his attitude, I doubt they will lose that many scaffolders from their books as we are a mercenary breed but I can't understand his boss allowing things to get that far, and allowing Nik's rants on here almost making R.H.L. a laughing stock.

By the way I have never worked for Nik or R.H.L. and probably never will.
