hello never posted here before so hi =)

First, at the moment im working as a labourer i started on the 18'th of june at my current firm before hand i worked for 2 months as a labourer for another firm were i live but i was never 'on the books' and was all cash in hand work, so when i looked at getting my part 1 it said i needed 'verifiable experiance'
just wonderd what this consisted of payslips etc or do they just phone the firm and ask them if they employed you etc.

just wonderd if anyone had done there part 1 recently that could give some insight would be helpfull.

Thanks in advance =).

yeah thats what i don't understand what is the proof that they need i got no payslips etc for the cash in hand work i did a couple of the blokes i work with said they did it with no experiance at all.

one bloke came off the railways having never touched a fitting and said he just booked his part 1 and they didn't even ask for proof. hearing diffrent things from diffrent pepole.

if its cash in hand you cant count it mate , why not phone the training agency and tell them you need a trainee ticket and then you have an effective starting point

I wouldn't advertise too much,
you were working for cash in hand,
as it is illegal.
I have to pay £500 a week in tax, yes £500 a week.
You gotta pay your way,
I bet you were getting benefits too,
People like you make me sick,
can't even contribute to your own economy,
And then moan like f**k when they get stopped.

yeah im not on an apprenticeship it's only november i will have to wait till to do my part 1 just getting it done abit soon would have gave me more options but sounds like i will just have to be paitent, no worries

cheers for the help guys many thanks =)

Hi mate, I think you will find the part one ticket very very easy. Ask your new firm to have a look at sorting the course for you, im sure they would sort your ticket out if there any good and your willing to pay for it..
Welcome to the forum and dont worry about your part one mate you can pass it with out any nolidge in scaffolding...Its all down too tickets now days.
See what your new firm can do for you as i said if there any good they should sort it for you.. Good luck

the blokes tell me it's near impossible to fail

NO ONE FAILS MATE

THATS WHATS WRONG WITH THESES COURSES

ITS ABOUT TIME THESES TRIANING CENTERS DID START FAILING THEM

WHY DONN,T TRIANING CENTERS FAIL THEM?????????

SAVE ME AND FELLOW SCAFFOLDERS SENDING BACK TO THE YARD

I don't think you should fail part 1, its a training course, part 2 you should be failed if the assesment goes wrong, same with advanced... don't think theres too many courses you can fail nowadays anyway, whatever it is..
