Off shore Rota change 3 & 3 News!

I wouldn`t have thought a union rep would be required as not all are in a union unfortunately, Oilc meeting in Glasgow on Friday should be interesting to get their take on things, people are being boxed into a corner with hoards of others just waiting to take their jobs, it`s not a good situation.

> After a lengthy and detailed overview of the current offshore situation from Regional Organiser Jake Molloy and with no halt on the continued changes being imposed on RMT members terms and conditions the Offshore Energy Branch of RMT agreed to submit the following resolution which will be placed before our union's Council of Executives at the March 2nd meeting.
>
>
> RMT Offshore Energy Branch calls for an industrial action ballot, for strike action; and action short of strike; to be conducted with our members who are employed with OCA member companies and covered under the OCA partnership agreement.
>
> We also submit that an immediate national campaign be put in place for all of our offshore members across all grades; to be sent a template letter to opt back in to the 48hr WTD regulation; to be sent a covering letter instructing guidance on how to raise objections to the 3-3 proposed rota changes; (using documents such as OIM guidance issued by Step Change in Safety). Guidance should also issued to members regarding taking strike action and NRB guidelines agreed with OGUK.
>
> We also call on the Partnership unions who are signatories to the OCA partnership - Unite & GMB, to unify with RMT and show a united trade union front to stop these attacks on our respective members who are covered by this agreement. We submit that solidarity is the only way of defeating this.
