Iv'e got some bad news for you , it does'nt just effect your hearing your elbows will be the next to start aching with all the banging and hammering after 30 years mine r f**ked now

Not quite hit the 30 year mark yet but not too far behind you, I'm a regular visitor to the local back cracker to keep me going. The original question was for tinnitus not other wear and tear injuries which would make us all sound like uncle Albert if we were to list them. If the info I posted is wrong fair enough but as for other strains it ain't news to me.

glucosomine

been taking glucosomine and chondorin for a couple of years now before i started taking it i couldn't sleep on my side my shoulders ached that much if i hadn't started taking it i would definately have been out of the game by now

Hi there new to form being using Sytem scaffolding now for nearly 10 years solid now

started to develope ringing in the ears and found my hearing not as good as it used to be.

anyone had these problems diiscuss please:wondering:

.
Not personally had any problems , but I have recently been monitoring noise levels for scaffs using cuplok. I don't have the full results but it was around 68db at its loudest conducted in the training centre

Kwikstage is louder especially when you smash your thumb..lol

Just a word of warning for anyone wanting to claim,a few older scaffolders i know put in the claim for industrial deafness, and although they would have won their claims they were advised by the hr department of a very big offshore contractor that if you admit to having tinitus then you are no longer fit to work at height(due to dizzinessetc)tread carefully there brothers. British jobs for british workers

has anyone ever heard of a spark been caused from using cuplok.working on a pharma plant and been told a hammer blow can cause a spark, even with t/f. now have to get hot work permit to erect an dismantle scaffolding.Brandy.

was told that when we used kwikstage on petrol station refurbs so must be some truth in that

But like me Dico theres been no sparks off our spanners for awhile bored shitless now. couldnt get a start at enfield with the ecitb tkt again. grid tkt run out but my ccnsg thats safety passport to the people that havent a clue what it is when they are asking for the cscs h & s touch screen its accepted as the equivalent you retards. in fact i think its more involved that an half hour touchscreen.

erected cuplock around bulk tanks for total fuels. they gave us copper headed hammers because of the sparks off the normal hammers.
