No Shows

if your not going to turn up at least a phone call or a email to the employer wether its a agency or a firm in the long run you always end up were you started so you don't wana burn your bridges exspecially in the scaffolding game they may have seen the job the night before and thought it was too complicated or a big olde lump not always about money but a phone call dosent hurt
 
Sorry cozzy i have no sympathy for you in this instance i know you have done ya best to be truthfull but us scaffs also are truefull when applying for a job with agencey and to be told that the starts yours and ill give you a ring tomorrow with more details ..... No phone call you then ring them to be told the jos not there any more. Sorry but that my firend is karma and liek yoyu say there good agency and bad same with scaffs but the idffrent is you may look a tw@t as there hasnt a scaff turned up on site but fortunatly for you the moneys in the bank anyhow your family is getting fed that day were as a scaff gets fek about his earnt nothing . I know you have said htis isnt how you work but its a fact this is what agencies are like not all but some sorry marra but its karma
 
cozzy i have and probably will have to work for agencys but as you have stated and we all know its a supply and demand business.I am out for myself and my family and when on for an agency i treat it as a STOP GAP as they DO NOT COMMIT TO ME SO WHY THE FECK SHOULD I COMMIT TO THEM
i know men who have knocked back work on a false promise from an agency and have no faith in the word of agencys and YES I AM ONE OF THEM;)
 
No shows are nearly as bad as agencies saying its 6mths and it's really only 6 days or agencies advertising jobs just to get CVs
I hope more lads let you down then firms we realise if you want good lads you have to take them on not use agency!

it works both ways,a few weeks back I got a start with a firm,told me to be somewere at 7,45,was there from 7,30,till gone eight,they never showed up.day after went to there yard at 7,20,all gone.waste of space messers.
 
At least this recruitment bollox hasn't took your sense of humour cozzy. You have gotta keep smiling :)
 
wot a waste of time this is!!!!!!!!!!!! if a man dont turn in for work then the world dont really need to fall apart!!!!!!!!! just like in any job in the world!!!!!!!!!! fisherman,shopkeeper,porn star,butcher etc etc!!!!!!!!!!! we aint slaves!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jus means the people holding the gun gota fire it for once!!!!!!! this is scaffolding............not the birth of christ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......god bless his sole......rmen.
