Lads, how many members on this forum are there now and whats the weekly joining average ?

At this current time, 1,880 members. Personally speaking i would make this site members only, as there are far too many just looking at the jobs, or perving our threads. FFs it only takes a min to join, the best scaffolder web-site i have ever seen.

How do the members feel about asking SF for members only?

They could maybe look at the homepage, then join. It is free!!!!!!!

Not like some of the Tech data sites, that scaffs normally browse;););)
 
Yea , crack on and make it members only ,makes people a bit more serious about it then.

If they were all scaffs, that would almost be 10% of the total number of "CISRS" scaffolders in the country ,thats a lot of shout .

No all the NASC spy's are out snagging non members jobs on Saturday nights ,all the real scaffs are in the pubs or on the forum on Saturday nights .
 
Keep the forum as it is. Use it to promote the SCCR which will be members only with a free voice the forum. Perfect match!!!

Everyone has a voice !! Only members have a say:laugh::eek:

There are definately prople viewng this site that have ulterior motives mate, io have the PM threats to prove it.

I am only trying my best for the guys.

Keep the site as it is with a limited number of views before you are asked to join,many people like to lurk for a bit before commiting to joining. I did myself

We have a great site with a great membership and I thank everyone concerned with the setting up and running of the site

As to confidential information any thing you post on any web-site goes into the "public domain"and as such is there for all to see.any member can do a cut & paste job and forward the article to any site or recipient he chooses by email even encryted email can be intercepted and read by third parties

If Its a secret don't go near the web ;)

So true Rigger i also hesitated before joining but a couple of visits in and i joined , its the same as my son who is just starting out in the industry he also hesitated but now he loves it and feels like he is part of something good !!

Hi

There is a limit on the number of threads that you can view before you must join. I know you can log out and go back in again to look at more if you want though.

There is not a lot of problem with becoming a member as it is almost annonymus anyway.

Sure if people are looking for jobs then they will be grateful that SF has given them a lead and will join anyway.

What is the point of making it members only. ?

I think there should be a section of the forum locked to members only. So that the ones looking for a job should still be able to access the rest of the forum for info

Yes you are right, in the dawn of a new day, without any Alcohol to cloud my judgement, leave the forum as it is. I was just looking for a higher member count.

Cant be right all the time (especially after a 9 hour bender):p
