That's about right. that was about what age I was when the old dear arrived home with top loader VCR. She thought I was a child genius because I worked out how to set it up.:laugh:

It seems that a buttress on each elevation is the way to go.
does anyone know of a basic formula dependant on width heights etc.
 
Your butress must be no lower than 4mt ( 2 lifts ) below your last tie/ lift. As for width you would normally have a design to work to on such a job...

Just trying to make up a tentative price before approaching designer
 
We've just finished a job at tewksbury abbey mate....was a general 4+2 scaffold x 8 2mt lifts, our butress was 10ft wide full leanght of scaffold x 5 lifts rakered up to the 6th lift

Not being funny m8 but can i ask how long uve been scaffolding because although the forums here to ask questions. If your about to scaffold a listed building you shouldvreally allready know the answers to you questions or get a desighner on board to assist or better still pass the job onto someone thats proficient at that type of work:amuse:
