Is it ok for say outside ledger and handrails in same bay? Then on next lift inside ledger in same bay and so on?

So what about the ledger then. 1st lift inside ledger, 2nd lift same bay but outside ledger?

I know what you getting at fella and yes it's better than all on the same side but it's still in the same bay mate

To save arguments with h+s stagger the bays otherwise they will tell you what I've just told you

According to tg20 theres no need to stagger ur joiners within the same bay now or indeed necessary to splice them if over 1/3 into the bay if
a - you use sleeves instead of pins &
B- the handrail joins in a differnt bay

Youd prob be pulled by the SO as thats not wot it sez in the book - & if it aint in the book u aint comin in lol

Thanks for that.

So forget about the handrail, if the ledger joint is on outside ledger 3rd lift and inside ledger 4th lift but in same bay is that ok?

As long as the 3rd lift had a h/r on it where the joint wernt in this same bay- if your concerned about being picked up on it just splice it with a short butt- problem solved

Convert ur tube to van thiel and u can hav all ur joints in the same bay

If you wrap your singles off on your toeboard I believe that helps....also if zip ties are used on netting across the said joint that will add to its structural integrity.....

Who said this forums going downhill

What! Someone's actually putting handrails in!

I try to stagger everything, ledgers inside and out, and handrails. Got pulled on it ages ago so just do it now

I dont...purely just to fcuk the saftey officer off over his lack of knowledge noff tg20 lol

Sod staggering your ledgers inside and out total pain in the arse, even worse is only having 16ft tubes for standards/ledgers 😉
