i agree, the website has to be careful as it does a lot of good for scaffs looking for work, answering questions and a good old whinge
 
I've definately missed out on something here, wished I'd have logged in on the 11th
 
i think if you have anyones details and you just give them out because people have a veiw of things, whats the point of the forum its for us to help each other and let of steam, and have an opiuon so we cant have freedom of speech here at all i just like to say wow another place to get barred from
 
Scaff 11 it is not the scaffolders that are 'Giving away Info etc' it is a condition on running a 'Website'.

SF Admin can explain all that 'Malarkey' you just cant start 'Slagging off people' without the threat of retribution, or if in this case, that i do not know about:confused: the case for legal action.

For this reason SF admin, attached these rules to the Forum :-

its should be a site for fun and to take the piss i thought that was what scaffs do or done i am, not sure anymore as a scaff i think i should have got a lawyer when i started this job back in the 70 in them days you either took it or took your ball home, i just think its a sad state of affairs when you cant have freedom of speach i can understand what you say and rules, thats all we have now more rules than ever, thanks for the reply but how come people can say things in the real world and they get away with, but i think we done it to death now so ill drink me beer and sit on the side,
 
Don't do that scaff11, I think some people went a wee bit over the score. Doesn't mean the rest of us can't carry on and bitch and moan as usual.
 
true mate but its like the pubs you cant smoke drink to much or swear, or you barred no places left now to go have the crack its just rules more rules and thats the way now,

Scaff11 stick with it mate, we can still slag each other off mate, just have to be a bit careful with the Conglomerates,confederations and the Guys that realise the Scaffolders are forming a voice, and try and wind us up, the SCCR, is looking for @guys' like you with 'Morals mate.

Your bang on there, it pisses me off no end especially the smoking thing, but the banned user on here was pretty nasty. There was no need for any of it and it was always going to end in tears. For the most part we really don't need to concern ourselves with the rules, it's just a way of protecting everyone should you be subject to an unprovoked attack from some half wit. They are even at it on trip advisor now, all sorts of accusations flying around there according to the news last night.
 
i have my morals i just wont to have fun thats all you get from scaffolding and with a good gang it was just that and slag each other of all ******* day and week
 
I'm wondering if I'm allowed to reply really, nah bollox, there was a time when we could say what we wanted to each other regardless but it was always face to face, I approve of the forum but not when so called scaffolders are using it like the sh!those walls
 
i agree mate but have you seen **** houses now they dont have much writeing either rules againe, i joined here for the thing of have a joke a laugh and to have a reply but all of you are right we must behave, but i think ill just sit back as i said before you upset people other wise;)
 
scaff11 the difference between things said on here and things said in the real world are:

in the real world when you say something it is generally a small group or so, and will not spread too far

on the forum it is a public domain where everything can be seen by everyone around the globe , therefore its possible that one small untruth about a person or company can in the wrong circumstances cause huge grief, hurt or commercial losses etc etc

2 people talking between themselves on a forum can tell the world anything

2 people talking in the pub could not tell the world anything

i totally agree with you the world and this country is becoming more crazy by the day and becoming an unsocialable life with less an less places to meet face to face to socialise, smoke, talk, take the piss do things how you want to not how you asked to do.

the reason our world has become like this is because more an more organisations, companies, places infact everyone, everything every place has to try and protect themselves more an more against NO Win No Fee court cases , this in turn makes health an safety things look stupid because things get stopped , or done different and the reason given is generally its H&S we might get sued.

this is why the forum needs basic regulation, one small word seen by one big person or company could cause big trouble for little forum

and big trouble for little forum mean closure

and nobody really wants that do they :D
 
Yes, let's hope that we can still have the banter and carry on helping ourselves out, because no one else gives a sh!t about us. Can't we start our own political party ? That would be a party I would like to be invited to.
