how to dismantle this ???

they are going back to it as their first job of the new year ...once down they are going to put it back up again

i think 3 weeks of snow melting swelled the river and that destroyed it

that and there were no transoms to the bottom of the beams to create the box

some doubles missed off the standards on the bottom chords

and no splicing of the joints between beams

and no ties didnt give the job much of a chance .....

no one expected the water to rise so high

ha ha quality , kwikstage is still ***** even if it was all done properley

If the beams where joined correctly they wouldn't need splicing!

:D

Only thing worth saving on it is the boards and the ladder, scrap the rest. Seems the reason it collapsed, no ties, no lacing on top and bottom chords on beams, no plan bracing. probably a combination of weight of snow initially and the force of the water after the thaw brought it down. Tie it back to the parapet, get the boards off, release the ties and get the sthil saw.

ha that is the common outlook on kwikstage in general i believe

Scaffy, there's so much of it lying around idle now, you could'nt give it away.

i know mate been trying to sell a load for months , ebay is the only place to get rid of it or self builders that aint got a scooby doo
