always chain as high as we can, then as philliosmaximus said out comes the rope( on a 16 lifter this week)
 
as daftscaff says cape still use them with valid certificate with certificated rope cant see a problem with them as long as the numpty remembers to put a knot in it otherwise its up you go again
 
Still widely used in the Nuclear industry, and never fails to raise a wry smile when you are in a position to work a useless labourer silly pulling 21's & 16's up 100ft all day long.

You can't beat that feeling your on the rope pal......................................................
and by the way we all started on it!!! now crack on heavy arms
 
I actually like pulling up on a rope.
I aint much of a chainer, more of a rope puller. :)

Not that i get much chance anymore.
When i do, i like to have a go.
