it depends on the drwaing dont it teeside we all governerd by the design these days on the galliford try job i was running we had to put 6 standards in front same in back then check each standard followed by brace each standard 2 plans braces trannies every 300mm and then cut the lift in half with a dummy all on form work tieing each set of legs together are hands are tied are they not

Not a bad job... but i would want a bit more gear in it.

We now have to do them like this like you say 4 standard and braced right up our trannis work a bit diffrent thow the standards have to be right on the ends of the boards 3 with in the lenght of the band then about 250 another 3 with in the lenght of a band 250 again then another 3 the 1 right in middle and the next bit is same as first works out when ya get ya pallet s on 3 trannies support each side of the block and its only and there only tagged for 10kn wtf

That wouldn't do around here, 15 stds (5x3), 10 ledger braces (2x5) and 18 transoms is what most expect.

similar to what we do we put double ledger back and front 5 standards back and front with rakers on each one with plan brace aswell

You could always bang a system loading bay up in a fraction of the time without design.

It dont matter how complex it is, Did you get paid enough for it?

Would it not be quicker to throw some ally beams in , just a suggestion .

It's not up to us though really is it. We know less gear would do, but for some reason despite us getting crucified for daring to go against TG20 site managers and big building companies are allowed to over rule it and make you go over the top in the name of paperwork.

Sad times we live in.

Makes no differance any way. The brickies just remove the handrail 20 ft away & get it lifted straight onto the lift!!!

All this with no harness either :D:eek:

Well its a well known fact that brickies are so full of hot air they will just float harmlessly down to the ground!

I thought sway braces were suposed to be installed as close as possible to 45? not look like a ledger thats slipped....lol
