hi new frustrated scaffolder

sat my pt 1 tube and fitting in february,:) was promised a start right away,,,eventually got the start in may,,,,:amazed:

worked for 3 months, then nowt,,,my boss owner was a right tosser, giving me a hard time,,saying a was making an arse of it, coming in to work in a bad mood and takin it out on me, forced me to tell him where to go:mad:
got my pt1 cisrs,,and was going to sit pt2,,,,but ive not got the experience i need to sit it,,,and cant get a start to get experience.
am in central scotland.

what,s next,,,do i chance it and sit pt2,,,whqts chance me passing this with 3 months experience, on kwikstage,,,,,,coz the pt 2 is tube and fitting:confused:

Hi mate i think you will find that you wont fail the part two scaffolding. A 15 year old could pass it with a mounths training.Its an assesment. If you ask on here how many people have failed that course i think you will find not many.Its common scense. Though if you do pass it how do you feel about you not being able to do the jobs? The part two is a joke. good luck.

doesnt bother me getting paid off from a few jobs,,,as you learn by your mistakes.

im a tradesman of 25 years,, remember me first job,,,lasted 10 mins

im glad u said its a joke,,,,,because i received an email from someone else saying the same.

i will sit it,,,betta chance of a start with a pt2,,,,than a part 1 which would be a waste of my 900 bangers,,if a didnt go with the pt2,

was also wondering,,can a claim cost of pt 1 back from tax-man

Some guys on the part two I did had never touched a spanner in their lives. In general nobody fails. You can use it as a stteping stone to experience till you do get good at the job.

Hi mate you can ask the better tax org which has a section on the right side of your padge,about seeing if you could put your training against your tax. Becarful of bangers and mash because the taxman will ask how you funded your training....Good luck you wont need it on your part two. Honest there are so many part twos out there who cant even do a splay which isnt that hard so if they can pass any assesment like part two, my 12 year old littel girl could pass it.Sorry to say our trade is **** but if hse and the training board cant get this loop hole closed there will be loads of part twos like your self with the ticket not knowing what to do in our trade.its **** though good luck.
 
Remmember is doesnt finish there, you have to go back n do your 2 day assesment six months later, then you get your portfolio to fill in coz its an NVQ now and you need your boss to sign every page before you can get your card. Its a pain in the arse mate. But even if you just have the cert (not the card) should help getting work.

its a pile a rancid turd,,aint it,,,,money maker,,know about the 6 months then the assessmant,,and the portfolio,,,

ive got me portfolio,,,,,seemingly any scaffolder can fillit in,,depending on who ya working for.

should be no probs with that,,,,:confused:

everything will work out me thinks,,,just not quick enough though.

maybe need to fall back on other things just now

Strange how many scaffs on here seem to think its a turn up n pass course and one instructor thinks we`re talking nonsense. I hope you do make the courses tougher then maybe our game will get the credit it deserves, but at the moment if you got the ££££ and two weeks off work you`ll pass.
